WAV (Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles)

Installation of the Drive-Rite Full Air Suspension Systems involves the removal of the existing leaf or coil springs and replacing them with Air Springs so that the suspension is solely reliant on the Air Springs.

  • Greatly improved comfort for the passenger
  • Improved road handling and safety
  • Ability to lower the vehicle for easy access when the air is exhausted from the air springs allowing the suspension to lower to its bump stops
  • Minimum angle of inclination allowing for safe rear entry of wheel chair with shorter ramp than usual.
  • No need for lift equipment
  • Multiple height settings are possible:-

                    Low Position (for easy access and loading)

                    Normal Ride height

                    High position (for greater road clearance)

The system can be used on a range of vehicle sizes from 1 tonne GVW (e.g. Renault Kangoo) vehicles to 3.5 tonne GVW (e.g. VW T5)
