Firestone Poland approved for supply of air springs

Further to its opening of Firestone Industrial Products (FSIP) in Wolsztyn, Poland less than two years it has now been approved to supply suspension manufacturer, Weweler with air springs.

Wewler supplies a number of trailer axle builders with suspensions, including those axles for fitment to trailers built by Europe's largest trailer builder, Schmitt Cargobull, which hsa also given its approval for the supply of the air spring as original equipment.

Firestone been producing parts in Poland for the European aftermarket since September 2005 and this approval marks the start of its aims for the plant to become an OEM supplier to commercial vehicle manufacturers in Europe.
